Sullivan's Ridge Apartments

The Sullivan’s Ridge Apartments Renovation is a conversion of the Residence Inn hotel at the Lloyd Center into apartments. The work includes remodeling all the units of the ten existing hotel buildings into 168 residential living units centered on the newly refurbished, redesigned community spaces indoors and landscaped grounds outside.

The conversion of hotel use (R1) to dwelling use (R2) required a building permit for each apartment building and demonstration that the buildings are compliant with applicable current codes. The renovations also included remodeling the existing clubhouse and cabana building from hotel uses to community-oriented apartment functions.

While the basic structure was economically and environmentally well worth refurbishing, elements of the buildings had suffered deterioration over the decades. With certificate of occupancy in summer 2021, the complex of older buildings will give new life to the transit-oriented Lloyd District.
